Great Ormond Street Hospital is holding its annual Santa Dash at Clapham Common on Sunday, 3 December 2017, and the Henry Wiltshire team are very proud to be involved!
The Santa Dash is a fantastic opportunity to do a fun run dressed as Santa, and raise money for GOSH at the same time. Click here to sign up!
This year, the Santa Dash is raising money for the specialist play therapy team at GOSH. The play therapy team provide activities to aid children’s treatment, recovery and understanding of their illness, making their hospital experience as stress-free as possible.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of age or ability, and can choose to participate in the 5km, 10km or 15km route. Our team, led by Rita Gabibova from our Nine Elms office, have chosen to do the 10 kilometre run. Henry Wiltshire’s staff members are signing up daily (the entire marketing department is already on board!) and we hope to have a really strong team by December.
Rita, a long-standing supporter of GOSH, has taken part in every Santa Dash since 2011. “I chose to support Great Ormond Street after seeing the amazing work they did for a friend’s child,” she explains. “GOSH provides specialist care for children who come not only from London but from all over the world for treatment. Government funding is an essential starting point, but it can only take the hospital so far. To provide the specialist care vital to so many children and their families, the hospital depends on charitable donations. Running in the Santa Dash is a great way to support GOSH’s work.”
GOSH use participants’ entry fees to cover the cost of the event, and encourage runners to drum up sponsorship money which will go towards the play therapy team. Click here to sponsor the Henry Wiltshire team.
We really hope you’ll come along and support us on 3 December – Clapham Common will have lots of fun and entertainment for the running Santas and the spectators alike, including live music, refreshments and a snow machine.
Thank you for your support!
